Chelsea C. Markopoulos, MA, CAADC, LPC

Welcome,

I have been working as a therapist and addictions counselor since 2000.  I have experience working with a wide variety of people with various backgrounds and concerns.  Early on in my career I gained invaluable experience working with children with disabilities and their families and women and children in a domestic violence shelter.

My professional career as a therapist began as an outpatient counselor dealing with adolescents who had substance abuse issues that required treatment.  In working with the teenage population I became very much aware of the many underlying factors that create addiction in one's life and in family systems.

I also had the opportunity to serve as clinical coordinator, while continuing to provide therapy for adults and adolescents in an outpatient program.  In this role I developed a much broader sense of the human experience with both clients and professional staff and the many issues that can be effectively dealt with through therapy, whether it be individual, family, group counseling or supervision.

I have been in private practice since 2010 and very much enjoy the ability to individualize treatment to create a personalized counseling experience.  I understand there are many reasons and times in life someone may enter into a therapeutic relationship.  It is important to me to understand your unique situation and collaboratively develop a treatment plan that serves you.

Please do not hesitate to call me to discuss your current needs.  Together we can understand your next step toward wellness.  I look forward to working together.
